Prince, PURPLE RAIN

The ABC sitcom black-ish has received a great deal of critical acclaim over the years, and while that doesn’t always equal a lengthy run for a series, it certainly has in this instance: the series is celebrating its 100th episode tomorrow, and it’s doing so by offering up a tribute to Prince.

The episodic description, however, doesn’t really do it justice:

“The family is shocked to learn that Jack and Diane are not familiar with the iconic music of Prince. One by one, each member of the family works to explain Prince’s tremendous impact on their lives through his music.”

Trust us when we tell you that we’ve seen the episode, and it’s an absolute must-see, taking the cast members of the show and placing them within some of Prince’s most iconic videos, which is just as hysterical as you’d expect. But it’s also still a family-oriented episode, one in which Dre struggles to convince his son Jack that Prince is one of the most important musicians for their family.

If you’re a Prince fan or a black-ish fan, then you won’t want to miss this episode!
