Los Lobos LLEGO NAVIDAD Cover

Yes, we know, we’ve only just entered October, which makes it seem crazy on the surface for us to be telling you about how Rhino just released a new holiday album this past Friday, but when the album in question is the first-ever holiday LP from Los Lobos, we just couldn’t wait to spread the word or the music.

LLEGÓ NAVIDAD was a labor of love for Los Lobos, with members David Hidalgo, Louie Pérez, Cesar Rosas, Conrad Lozano, and Steve Berlin researching darned near 150 different Christmas-related songs from North America, Central America, and South America before putting together a definitive track list of the songs they wanted to tackle. In addition, they also penned a holiday song of their own: “Christmas and You.”

If you’re a vinyl fan, we regret to inform you that you’ve still got a little bit of a wait on your hands – that version of the album won’t hit stores ‘til November 22 – but if you’re tempted by the thought of this album and you’re okay with either a CD or digital version, then you’re in luck: those are both available for your purchasing pleasure right now.

Here’s the full track listing:
